Cassidy Burg

Cassidy has spent 20+ years training and riding horses. She grew up doing dressage, show jumping and cross-country jumping. Then her professional career led her to the world of horse racing. She has been a groom, exercise rider and jockey at 10 different tracks across the United States. She has ridden over 1000 professional races, demonstrating an ability to perform physically and mentally demanding skills on horseback in front of a live and televised audience. This year she also started dabbling in vaulting (gymnastics on horses), trick riding, mounted archery and classical French dressage. She is currently training her own off-the-track thoroughbred to be her competition mounted archery horse.

Cassidy is also a certified free diver and open-water scuba diver. She has been training and successfully competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over a year and has fallen in love with the sport. She has also competed in power lifting and though she no longer is an active competitor, weightlifting is one of her favorite activities outside of her current competitive sports. She holds a certification in firearm safety for stunt performers and is comfortable handling weapons on set using the proper safety protocols. She is also naturally drawn to artistic pastimes including cake decorating, painting, crocheting, doing origami, playing saxophone and more. Her love of art extends to film and theater. She has performed in local theater productions over the years and is currently pursuing acting classes to improve her skills. She is very excited to enter the industry professionally.

In her free time, her favorite hobby is traveling. Cassidy, her boyfriend and their dog lived in a converted camper van for over a year and traveled to every state in the continental US. They spent the year doing her other favorite hobbies: hiking, cliff jumping and rock climbing. Her Labrador, Lyla, is her pride and joy and allows Cassidy to pursue yet another passion, dog training and competitive dog sports. She loves animal training so much that she is currently in the middle of earning a degree in Animal Health and Behavior.
