Marc Peters

Marc has taught yoga for 8 years and has been practicing for 20 years. His focus is Ashtanga Yoga and he currently practices 3-4 times per week. He is an avid hiker/occasional backpacker, and travels around the state of Oregon whenever he can, to explore and learn. Marc enjoys traveling to Europe, and in particular, Spain. He used to own and manage an organic Pinot noir vineyard in the Willamette Valley and produced wine from 1996-2003 (Antica Terra). He still enjoys the seasonal aspects of the work and has been volunteering at vineyards/wineries in the Catalunya region of Spain for the past 6 years. Marc has always had a deep respect for the natural world and has enjoyed a career in natural resource management/protection for the past 30 years, working for local, state, and federal government agencies. He is currently employed with the City of Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services. Marc met his wife Faustina in Brooklyn, NY in 1985 and they have been together ever since. They relocated to Portland, OR in 1992 and have raised two children together (Cole 27, Simone 23).
