Sandy Streit

Sandy spent 30 years as a mainframe computer programmer/systems analyst. She came to acting later in life. She started out doing background work when there were many productions happening in Portland. When the pandemic shutdown productions, she missed the people she had worked with. Not wanting to give up, she decided to take a few acting classes and began volunteering with local film makers to gain experience.

Sandy's favorite genre is comedy so it's no surprise her favorite role so far is that of Mildred in the comedy “The Subcontractors”. She also has done drama, playing the mother in “The Gift”.

Sandy can ride a bicycle and still has her bike from 1965. She can play badmitten too. Her lifestyle is an active one, hitting the gym 4 days a week. She also volunteers in a nearby nature park, removing non-native plant species. In winter, she takes an extended vacation to sunny Desert Hot Springs, CA where she plays water volleyball 4 hours a day.
