Emily Ellis

Emily is a busy mom of three teens who enjoys being active with friends, walking her two English Labs, reading, and going on date nights with her husband when she has a free moment. Emily grew up in the midwest playing numerous sports until she settled on volleyball as her main athletic passion. She pursued her passion for volleyball into college where she played for two years. When Emily’s volleyball path ended she took up running half and full marathons, eventually participating in the Boston Marathon when she was 40 years old. Today, Emily’s athletic endeavor of choice is tennis, which she picked up during the pandemic. Tennis allows her to be active with her husband and friends, laugh, and compete in a social environment. Emily and her high school sweetheart (now husband) have lived in many locations throughout the twenty nine years they have been together. They put down roots in the Portland area ten years ago. They chose the Pacific Northwest as the place that felt most like home. Although Oregon will always be home, Emily and her family love to travel when time allows. The trips they have taken have brought them closer together as a family while teaching them acceptance and curiosity about the world beyond their door.
